“Everyone lives differently, and every site is unique. I love coming to work every day and exploring each unique set of circumstances with our clients.”

Michael Sage

Director

With a passion for building and construction from a young age, Michael was inspired by three uncles working in the industry. He spent school holidays shadowing his mentors, where he gained a first-hand insight into the workmanship involved in building design.

That experience, together with a passion for all things design, was the perfect gateway into the design world. Michael values the relationships he is able to form with Lloyd Sage clients, while sharing the design and building experience.

“Everyone lives differently, and every site is unique. I love coming to work every day and exploring each unique set of circumstances with our clients. I am very passionate and dedicated toward achieving successful outcomes for our clients.”

Michael’s style is drawn from modern contemporary design. However, growing up in regional NSW left a soft spot for traditional farmhouse style and a wholesome county-living approach. Combining this tradition with a modern, contemporary look is a space where Michael is happiest in his work.

Cutting his teeth on high-end, residential design and complex sites, requiring well-thought-out solution-driven design outcomes, Michael has gained extensive experience since starting out in the industry back in 2008.

For him, establishing Lloyd Sage with Mark in 2018 was a culmination of experience gained, knowing what people wanted in a dedicated designer and a shared passion for bringing building projects, of every scale, to reality.

“I enjoy offering our clients a unique and different approach to the existing market. I am proud of everything we do and that what we provide is different.”

Mark Lloyd

Director

A passion for good design is just one of many shared traits between Michael and Mark, who has fond memories of his grandfather encouraging his drawing as a child.

Mark always enjoyed the freedom and exploration of drawing and art, and this creativity unearthed an interest and intrigue that was ignited when he saw his first set of working drawings. These drawings belonged to his godfather, who was a builder, and sparked an interest that has sustained Mark through a 14-year-long career and led to the creation of Lloyd Sage.

Mark is driven by strong family-based values of loyalty, patience and working together. He is a ‘big picture’ guy who is passionate about family and supporting his community, and thrives on the freedom and personal satisfaction that comes with co-owning his own business. Mark prides himself on his attention to detail, creativity and passion for the artistry of building design.

“I’m inspired by building design done really well, as well as mid-century architecture, commercial design and also working with great people. I love living and working in a thriving regional community and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with young people through football – it’s a privilege to help guide and shape them .”
